A lot of talk has been happening about an industrial boom in Andhra Pradesh and the focus is more on cities like Vizag, Rajahmundry, Nellore etc. But here is a new tension that has gripped the enthusiasts. It is heard that setting up an industry in the coastline will make them vulnerable to the issue of rust.
The heavy machinery and other industrial equipment are prone to getting rusted and in a span of every five to six years, the entire machinery has to be changed. It is heard that the Vizag steel plant alone spends hundreds of crores for replacing the machinery every now and then.
The experts are suggesting instead of the coastline, the industrialists must look towards the Rayalaseema region where this issue is not there. Already, there is the Sri City SEZ in Chittoor district fast becoming the hot hub for industries. So, if the industries have to invest in AP they better stay away from the coastline.
