Batting Maestro Sachin Tendulkar described Greg Chappell who worked as Indian Coach for 2 years (2005-2007) as a ‘ringmaster’ and accused him of imposing his ideas on the players giving least importance to their feelings & comfort. In his autobiography ‘Playing It My Way’, Sachin shared Greg Chappell didn’t have any respect for Rahul Dravid as captain and contemplated on replacing ‘The Wall’ with him.
‘Together, We could control Indian cricket for years,’ this is the message of Australian Cricketer to Sachin at that point of time. Sachin revealed Greg Chappell wanted senior players to be removed from team and atmosphere in the dressing room wasn’t good during stint as coach. Greg Chappell, however, rubbished these allegations. The Austrailian commented he had no plans of replacing Dravid with Sachin as captain on any day.
