The whole media was seen going gaga over the news of BCCI appointing Sachin Tendulkar as the Indian Cricket Team’s new coach a while ago. And a press-release by BCCI regarding the coach-appointment was published by few news websites too.
But to everyone’s shock, the sensational news was widely spread on the eve of April Fools Day. The topic was trending on Facebook and Twitter for a while, before it was confirmed as a fake news.
Earlier in the morning, it was reported that Sachin has agreed for a 3 year contract of BCCI to coach Indian Cricket Team. It was also reported that the decision was made only after serious discussions between Srinivasan, Ravi Shastri, Dhoni and Kohli.
The fake press-release had Jagmohan Dalmiya, the BCCI President’s name on it and few interesting comments by MS Dhoni too. Though it was obvious and looked like a fake news, the optimistic mentality of cricket fans has started believing in this.
Though the whole “Sachin coaching Indian Cricket Team” news fooled everyone, we can’t write off its possibility in the coming days!
