It is every filmmaker’s and obviously every lyricist’s dream to team up with the legendary music composer Ilayaraja. The young lyricists cum dialogue writer Madhan Karky is no exception to this dream. To those unaware of the lyricist, Madhan Karky is Baahubali’s Tamil lyricist cum dialogue writer and he is the man behind the invention of the Kiliki language, which was spoken by Kalakeya War Lord in Baahubali.
Recently, when actor turned director Prakash Raj approached Madhan to write lyrics for his upcoming directorial venture Un Samaiyal Araiyl, Madhan was naturally excited and happy that his dream of working with Ilayaraja will come true. However, the Mucial Maestro reportedly told Prakash Raj that he wouldn’t be a part of the film if Madhan writes lyrics.
The main reason behind Ilayaraja’s refusal was a tiff with Madhan’s father and legendary Tamil poet and lyricist Vairamuthu. In the past, Ilayaraja and Vairamuthu teamed up and gave several musical masterpieces together. However, differences cropped up between the two and both the legends fell apart and they have not been on talking terms until now.
Looks like Ilayaraja is in no mood to team up even with Vairamuthu’s son now. On the other hand, Ilayaraja’s son and hotshot music director Yuvan Shankar Raja teamed up with Vairamuthu for an upcoming release.
