The Election Commission in Haryana has issued notices to Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan and his actor-mother Sharmila Tagore for reportedly violating “norms” of EC. As per the reports, Saif has organized a grand party on October 16 at the Pataudi Palace in Gurgaon celebrating two years of married life with actress Kareena Kapoor.
The party has lasted till the early next day (Oct 17) and it’s buzzed that the actor has used “loud-speakers” without prior permission and violated the model code of conduct. EC, which got reports about the violation, acted swiftly and issued notices against the house owners Saif and Sharmila. EC has asked Saif to give reply by 3 PM on October 21 (Tuesday).
The model code of conduct was in force in Haryana as the Assembly Elections were held on October 15. The high-profile party saw several B-town stars, filmmakers.
