Saiyaara Buzz Grows Amid Korean Remake Rumours

Yash Raj Films’ upcoming romantic drama Saiyaara, starring newcomers Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda, is creating an unusually strong pre-release buzz. The film’s advance bookings are surprisingly high for a project headlined by fresh faces — a phenomenon largely driven by an aggressive social media campaign.

Over the past few days, platforms have been flooded with positive chatter about the film, much of it with a strikingly similar tone, indicating a well-orchestrated promotional effort. While building such hype is standard in today’s industry, the scale of buzz around Saiyaara is certainly noteworthy.

However, there’s a curious silence on one particular aspect — the film’s origins. It is being widely speculated that Saiyaara is heavily inspired by the Korean classic A Moment To Remember, directed by John Lee. Director Mohit Suri, who helms Saiyaara, is no stranger to remakes from Korean cinema — his Ek Villain was famously lifted from I Saw The Devil. Yet, no official acknowledgment has been made about Saiyaara’s alleged source material. Attempts to reach Mohit Suri for clarification have so far gone unanswered.
