Finally, after 20 long years, Bollywood star Salman Khan has been convicted by the Jodhpur court in the 1998 blackbuck killing case. Salman has been awarded a 5-year jail term and Rs 10,000 penalty for his crime.
Soon after the quantum of sentence was pronounced, Salman was taken to the Jodhpur Central Jail where he will spend the night before his lawyers apply for bail tomorrow. Bollywood is shellshocked with the judgement as several films, TV shows and brand endorsements featuring Salman will come to a sudden halt.
As per the estimates, at least Rs 1,000 crores are hanging in dilemma. Race 3 (120 Cr), Bharat (Rs 210 Cr), Kick 2 (Rs 200 Cr), Dabangg 3 (Rs 110 Cr), No Entry Mein Entry (Rs 50 Cr), Partner 2 (Rs 60 Cr), Sher Khan (Rs 65 Cr) and his home production Loveratri (Rs 22 to 150 Cr) are the projects that will get a serious jolt if Salman fails to get bail at the earliest.
Apart from the above projects, Salman will most likely be hosting Bigg Boss Season 12. For Season 11, Salman was paid a whopping 11 crore per episode. Salman’s net worth in 2017 was Rs 1,480 Cr, with his daily earnings totaling to Rs 65.47 lakhs per day.
