Bollywood superstar Salman Khan continues to live under serious threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, forcing him to take extreme safety measures. Ever since Bishnoi’s gang issued threats, Salman has been investing heavily in bulletproof cars to enhance his security. Every year, he buys two to three bulletproof vehicles worth crores of rupees, which clearly reflects the intensity of his fears.
Following recent threats, Salman heightened his personal security. Bulletproof windows were installed at his Galaxy Apartment in Bandra, and bullet-resistant mirrors were also fitted on his balcony. Adding to this, he recently imported a premium bulletproof car from the Gulf, creating a buzz among fans. And now, Salman has purchased a new bulletproof Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 SUV worth ₹3.40 crores. Pictures of him driving this luxury SUV have already gone viral on social media.
However, there’s some confusion whether this SUV was bought recently or if it’s a car he ordered months ago that’s only just been delivered. The registration date is listed as 2024, and this SUV is a repeat version of the 2021 Maybach GLS 600 model. Powered by a 4.0-liter V8 petrol engine with 550 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque, this 9-speed automatic SUV can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds and can touch a top speed of 250 km/h.
Salman’s garage already boasts a lavish collection of high-end cars, including Range Rover, Mercedes-Benz GLS, Toyota Land Cruiser, and sports cars like the Audi RS7. Recently, he also purchased a bulletproof Nissan Patrol. On the work front, after his recent box-office disappointment Sikandar, Salman is making careful career choices. His next project, rumored to be titled Galwan, is inspired by the India-Pakistan border skirmish in Galwan Valley. The shoot is expected to begin soon in Ladakh.
