Salman Khan Opens Up on Industry Support Amid Sikandar’s Failure

Salman Khan’s highly anticipated film Sikandar has turned out to be a major disappointment at the box office. Despite his massive fan following, the film failed to attract audiences, drawing heavy criticism from both critics and moviegoers. Even Salman’s star power couldn’t salvage the film’s performance.

Amidst this, a viral video from a recent interview has sparked discussions on social media. In the clip, the host points out how most of Bollywood remained silent about Sikandar’s release, despite Salman actively promoting films of his industry peers. When asked about this, Salman candidly admitted that even he needs support from the industry.

“Maybe they think I don’t need their support,” Salman said, adding, “But the truth is, everyone needs support, including me.” His honest acknowledgment has resonated with many, shedding light on the often-unspoken expectations within the film industry.

Interestingly, Salman has always backed his colleagues’ films, recently extending his support to Sunny Deol’s mass-action entertainer Jaat, slated for release on April 10, 2025. He also wished success to L2: Empuraan. However, the lukewarm response from Bollywood towards Sikandar has seemingly made Salman reflect on the importance of solidarity within the industry.
