Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently revealed in an interview that his much-anticipated collaboration with director Atlee was canceled due to budget constraints. Salman admitted that the proposed budget for the project was beyond practical limits, which ultimately led to the decision to shelve the film.
In the past, budget concerns were rarely a factor when it came to films starring Salman Khan. However, the dynamics of the film industry have changed, with producers now being more cautious about investing heavily, regardless of the star power involved. Even superstars like Salman are facing difficulties in securing massive budgets.
Interestingly, Telugu superstar Prabhas stands as an exception to this trend. He is the only Indian actor consistently working on back-to-back films with budgets exceeding ₹500 crore. Despite mixed box office results, production houses continue to invest heavily in his projects without hesitation. This unique ability to command large-scale productions sets Prabhas apart from every other actor in Indian cinema, reaffirming his unmatched pull when it comes to high-budget filmmaking.
