It has been some time since Samantha announced her upcoming film Maa Inti Bangaram. At the time, she released the first look poster—a striking image of her holding a gun—hinting at a gripping crime drama.
However, after the initial announcement, the project went quiet for several months, leaving fans wondering about its progress.
Now, new reports suggest that Maa Inti Bangaram is finally moving forward. The film, which was initially planned with a new director, has reportedly been handed over to Samantha’s close friend, filmmaker Nandini Reddy. Nandini is currently reworking the script, and production is expected to start once the final draft is ready.
The crime thriller will also be produced under Samantha’s own banner, reflecting her hands-on approach to the project. Recently, Samantha shared that she has been selective with her film choices, focusing on quality over quantity. “I’ll focus on projects that truly excite me,” she said—Maa Inti Bangaram appears to be one such carefully chosen venture.
Fans are particularly excited because Samantha and Nandini Reddy previously delivered the blockbuster Oh! Baby, setting high expectations for their next collaboration.
