The latest Telugu blockbuster Sankranthiki Vasthunnam has created a sensation at the box office. Starring Venkatesh, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Aishwarya Rajesh, this family entertainer, directed by Anil Ravipudi, has struck a chord with audiences. While fans eagerly awaited its OTT release, an unexpected update left them surprised.
ZEE, which holds the film’s OTT and satellite rights, recently announced that the movie will have its world television premiere first on Zee Telugu. This decision has caused a stir, as it means a delay in the digital release. The makers have prioritized TV audiences, and the OTT release date remains unconfirmed.
The film has already emerged as a massive success. Made on a budget of ₹50 crores, it has raked in ₹178 crores, earning a staggering profit of ₹128 crores. With an ROI of 256%, the movie is among the biggest hits in recent times. Apart from the lead cast, the film also features Naresh, Srinivas Avasarala, Revanth, and VTV Ganesh in key roles.
Produced by Shirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film boasts a chartbuster soundtrack composed by Bheems Ceciroleo. While fans wait for its OTT debut, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam continues its dream run in theaters.
