Actress Sapthami Gowda, known for her roles in Kantara and the Telugu film Thammudu, has strongly criticized cameramen for zooming in on actresses’ body parts at public events.
Joining fellow performers in speaking out, Sapthami shared a note urging photographers to stop capturing women from inappropriate angles, highlighting concerns over how such images and videos are widely circulated on social media.
“Repeatedly, videos and photographs of female actors at public events are taken and shared from inappropriate angles, with unnecessary zooms focusing on our bodies rather than our work. This behavior, carried out by a few individuals, is disrespectful and unacceptable,” she wrote.
Sources indicate that Sapthami was particularly disturbed by paparazzi targeting certain angles during her recent appearances. Earlier, Bollywood and Tollywood actress Ayesha Khan had similarly warned photographers against filming her from behind at public gatherings.
