For some reason, the music scored by Devi Sri Prasad for Sarileru Neekevvaru is sounding mediocre. But then, the composer is very confident that the songs and his background score will impress big time when audiences watch the film in theatres. On that note, here is something being heard about the title song, which is titled Sarileru Neekevvaru Anthem.
No doubt, DSP spent huge time in a European country to record the music of this anthem, performed live by talented musicians who are experts in playing the violin, trumpet, saxophone, clarinet and other instruments. But then, the lyrics of this song are sounding as it got filled with simple Telugu words written by Devi Sri Prasad himself.
Actually, for these types of songs, legends like Seetharama Sastry or proven poets like Chandrabose might do huge justice with their revolutionary expressions for soldiers, their lives and the cause they are fighting for. Though DSP writes naughty item numbers, somehow this particular patriotic song should have gone to professional writers for the needful lyrics.
But the likes of Mahesh Babu and Anil Ravipudi are not some easy guys to get convinced with such simple lyrics. Maybe we could say that they might have felt the lyrics apt for the visuals they are shooting. So the mixed reactions on the title song’s lyrics are likely to change when the film releases.
