We all know that Rohit Shetty has given a chance to SS Thaman to score music and compose songs for the fourth part in Golmaal franchise, Golmaal Again. However, despite the songs not so impressive, the film turned out to be a hit at the box office. And now Thaman got another chance to work for one of the most prestigious projects in Bollywood.
Thaman is on roll with back to back hits like Tholiprema and Bhagamathie. Besides his impeccable background score, he grabbed the attention of the audience with his tunes in Varun Tej’a Tholiprema. Cut into the news, Thaman is roped in for Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh’s upcoming project Simmba, which is the Hindi remake of Puri Jagannadh’s Temper.
While everyone suggested opting for any other music director, as his debut disappointed music lovers, the Golmaal director is said to have turned into a huge fan for his background score. So he insisted the team get Thaman on board for this project as well. So scoring terrific BGM is the secret of this composer to get many films now.
Even though Thaman has been offered a few Hindi projects earlier, he rejected many but he didn’t want to miss an opportunity to make debut with Rohit, whom he idolizes. As soon as the makers have approached Thaman for Simmba, the music director immediately gave a nod to it, without any second thought. Looks like, the second innings of Thaman in Tollywood, as well as Bollywood, has started on a grand scale.
