For one party that spearheaded the separate Telangana movement with a strong rndissent against the Seemandha people, the TRS has apparently pulled off rnan unbelievable feat as it received as many as 140 applications from rnSeemandhra people requesting the party’s ticket for the upcoming GHMC rnpolls.
In the final candidates list that was released on Sunday,rn TRS surprised everyone by giving tickets to 15 worthy candidates from rnSeemandhra region. All these candidates will be fielded in divisions rnmostly dominated by Seemandhra settlers. Apparently, TRS chose its rncandidates based on their caste and keeping in mind the dominant castes rnof the Seemandhra settlers in the GHMC region.
Mostrn of these Seemandhra candidates will be fielded in the areas like rnKukatpally, Ameerpet, Miyapur, Jubilee Hills, Vengalrao Nagar, rnSomajiguda etc, where Seemandhra settlers could drastically influence rnthe final results.
Sincern the beginning of the GHMC poll campaigning, TRS leaders have been rnshowering the Seemandhra settlers with countless soaps and rnfreebies. With this latest masterstroke, TRS has hit the final nail in rnthe coffin, leaving the opposition parties in doldrums.
