Senior Most Producer KS Rama Rao who produced classics like Swarna Kamalam, Abhilasha, Challenge, Chanti, Mathrudevobhava etc under his Creative Commercials Banner is heading towards bankruptcy.
It is said that KS Rama Rao has debts amounting to whopping 300 Crore right now and there is no way that he can settle them. KS Ramarao slowed down in Film Production since 2000s. He barely produced five films after 2000.
Vasu starring Venkatesh, Chukkallo Chandrudu starring Siddharth are big flops. Prabhas’ Bujjigadu in 2008 is an average. The latest big project is NTR’s Dhammu which was again a big flop. He recently presented Nara Rohit’s Shankara which could not release and Malli Malli Rani Roju is a commercial failure.
It is said that he owed a single payment of 60 Crore to a lady financier, 6 Crore to an employee in Filmnagar club and 6.5 Crore to NTV Chairman. There are numerous other debts to which interests are growing like anything every day. KS Rama Rao is the President of Filmnagar Cultural Center.
He is inactive for several months and even stopped coming there. They say more than the films, KS Rama Rao is more in to real estate and construction business and it is there he lost much money. Anyways we can only hope that he some how can come out of this mess and continue giving us good films.
