September is shaping up to be a busy month for Telugu cinema, with multiple small and medium-budget films releasing each week. Ahead of Dasara on September 25, Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG is set to hit theatres.
On September 5, audiences can look forward to films like Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati, Siva Karthikeyan’s dubbed Madharaasi, and Little Hearts. Teja Sajja’s Mirai, produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under People Media Factory, was originally slated for September 5 but has been postponed to September 12.
Bellamkonda Srinivas’ Kishkindhapuri, produced by Sahu Garapati, had already announced September 12 as its release date. The team recently unveiled the trailer in Hyderabad. When asked about the clash with Mirai, Garapati said, “It will be clear on September 12 which film performs better. The Mirai team did not inform us about the date change, otherwise, we could have coordinated. Filmmakers should ideally avoid such clashes, but for now, we are sticking to our release date.”
Kishkindhapuri is a horror thriller featuring Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas and Anupama Parameshwaran, with music composed by Chaitan Bharadwaj. While expectations are moderate, strong audience response could help the film make a solid mark at the box office.
