August 14 marks Independence Day for Pakistan. Yet little did it change and give respite to its ceasefire violations against India. Pakistan violated ceasefire in the Shahpur sector in Poonch on Friday morning notwithstanding that it’s their Independence Day. Along the Line of Control (LoC), the firing was reported targeting Indian Army. However, Indian forces strongly retaliated Pak’s attack and gave a befitting counter.
According to reports, in the last 45 days, Pak carried out 45 ceasefire violations. Recently, the firing was also reported in civilian areas. It’s buzzed that the aim of the ceasefire violation is to push more terrorists to the Indian side. Ahead of talks between two neighbouring countries on Aug 23rd, the continuous ceasefire violations from Pakistan indicate Pak’s cruel intention. Despite several requests, warnings, little did Pak change. Will NSA level talks bring any change?
