A few days ago, when YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was asked about Vijay Sai Reddy’s departure, he remarked that a politician needs “credibility and character” to remain relevant in politics. His statement seemingly implied that Sai Reddy lacked these qualities. However, Sai Reddy was quick to respond, asserting that he indeed had character—highlighting that he did not succumb to political pressure but instead chose to step away on his own terms.
Interestingly, Jagan’s remarks did not just provoke Sai Reddy; they also triggered a strong reaction from his sister, Y. S. Sharmila.
“Jagan Mohan Reddy talking about character and credibility is a joke,” Sharmila lashed out. “He used Vijay Sai Reddy and Y. V. Subba Reddy to publicly assassinate my character. He made them spread lies and fabricate narratives to humiliate me. Now, the same Jagan is preaching about credibility—it’s ironic.”
Jagan’s attempt to lecture Sai Reddy on character seemingly backfired, as Sharmila seized the moment to launch a scathing counterattack against her brother.
“Jagan tried to steal the properties of my son and daughter—his own nephew and niece. He and his wife, Y. S. Bharathi, should sit before a Bible and introspect on the real meaning of character and credibility while they attempt to seize their own family’s property,” she added.
Previously, Sai Reddy and Subba Reddy had asserted that Sharmila had already received her rightful share of the family’s assets and that Jagan could do nothing more regarding the issue. However, Sharmila remains steadfast in her belief that her brother orchestrated a campaign against her, using his close associates to tarnish her reputation publicly.
