The race for the Vice President post is heating up, sparking fresh political debates across the nation. In Andhra Pradesh, the spotlight has shifted to a sharp attack by AP Congress president YS Sharmila on her brother and YSRCP chief, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Calling Jagan the “Dattaputrudu” of Prime Minister Modi, Sharmila accused him of blindly supporting the NDA government under any circumstance.
“The BJP in Andhra Pradesh is nothing but a mixture of Babu, Jagan, and Pawan. While TDP and Jana Sena are at least openly tied to the NDA, YCP is secretly aligned, which makes it even more dangerous,” Sharmila alleged.
She questioned Jagan’s decision to extend support to the NDA’s Vice President candidate when the INDIA bloc had nominated Sudershan Reddy, a Telugu leader. “Why back an RSS nominee against a Telugu candidate who genuinely represents our state’s pride?” she asked.
Sharmila went on to brand YSRCP as the “B-team of BJP” in Andhra Pradesh, accusing the party of betraying the people by siding with the saffron camp instead of standing for Telugu self-respect.
Her fiery remarks have drawn widespread attention, especially since they come from Jagan’s own sister, making the attack even more impactful and politically damaging.
