Sharmila Slams YS Jagan for Ignoring Public Issues, Focusing Only on YCP Leaders

Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan, has reportedly been limiting his weekly visits to the state to very repetitive and predictable purposes, a trend that has become increasingly noticeable.

Public opinion suggests that Jagan steps out primarily when his party seniors are released from jail or for functions involving his party leaders.

This observation was explicitly highlighted today by his own sister and Sharmila, the President of the Andhra Pradesh Congress. Speaking on the recent Rajahmundry milk adulteration issue, Sharmila said, “Jagan only cares about his party workers and leaders. He doesn’t bat an eye about what happens to the general public in the state.”

She further added, “It is shocking that this milk vendor had been supplying for the last 11 years, which includes Jagan’s tenure. Yet even today, Jagan has not addressed this horrifying incident. But whenever something affects his party cadres, he immediately comes out to play political games.”

Sharmila’s remarks point to a broader criticism that Jagan often ignores public problems, focusing instead on matters concerning his YSR Congress Party leaders. Observers note that in the past one and a half years, he has not participated in a single public protest, and his appearances in Andhra Pradesh have largely been limited to bail releases or party-related functions.

Political experts also suggest that Jagan’s approach has become extremely predictable and monotonous, indicating that he may be largely indifferent to the criticisms raised by Sharmila.
