One of the most anticipated and long-delayed films of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, is finally nearing completion. The film is a remake of the Tamil blockbuster Theri, with director Harish Shankar making significant changes to the original script.
The project was launched with a grand muhurat in December 2022, but over time, it has seen several changes in the cast and crew. Pooja Hegde and Sakshi Vaidya were initially part of the film but were eventually replaced, with Sreeleela and Raashi Khanna now joining Pawan Kalyan as the female leads.
The film’s OTT release plans have also seen a shift. Initially associated with Amazon Prime Video, the project has now moved to Netflix India, which announced that the film will be available on their platform after its theatrical release. Following the massive success of #OG on Netflix, the streaming giant appears increasingly interested in acquiring Pawan Kalyan’s films.
With production nearing completion and the first single already released, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is expected to hit cinemas in Summer 2026, much to the excitement of Pawan Kalyan’s fans.
