Not many must have noticed that the mesmerizing female voice in the superhit song Rama Rama from Srimanthudu, is of the Bangalore born Telugu singer Ranina Reddy. Ranina, with her refreshing vocals, enthralled music lovers in numerous hit songs like Banthi Poola Janaki (Baadshah), Pimple Dimple (Yevadu), Mee Intiki Mundo (Julayi) etc.
In an interview to a Telugu news daily talking about Rama Rama’s success, her career and experiences, the ravishing young singer narrated a painful incident that troubled her the most. Apparently, Ranina’s mother, a heart patient, was in ICU when she recorded for the superhit Banthi Poola Janaki in Baadshah.
The young singer worked with all the noted music composers down south like AR Rahman, Harris Jayraj, Thaman and Devi Sri Prasad. Ranina shares a great professional and friendly relationship with DSP and credits him for some of the hit numbers she recorded for him. After all this success, Ranina says that she feels the happiest when her mother looks up to her in pride.
