Akkineni Nagarjuna’s Cult Classic film, Shiva is digitally restored and remastered with the advanced techniques available today. About two years hardwork had gone in to restoring and enhancing the quality from the old physical prints. The movie which released in 1989 recently completed 25 years.
Earlier Nagarjuna has no plans of releasing it but is now planning on popular demand. The makers are planning to release the new version on May 15th in limited screens across both the Telugu States for the fans to enjoy. It may reminded that Shiva is also the debut movie of director Ram Gopal Varma.
The ace director recently released a special documentary on the movie, titled Exploring Shiva after 25 Years which is touted as the first documentary about a Telugu film. The documentary gave a holistic view of the film and how it changed people’s lives. It also featured interviews of several cast and crew members, apart from special segments on sound, locations used among other things
