Hollywood director James Cameron has finally commenced the shooting of his 4 previously-announced 3-D sequels to ‘Avatar’ after numerous delays. It is to be noted that ‘Avatar’ released in December 2009, eight years ago, and emerged as the highest grossing film of all time.
As per reports, the shooting commenced in Manhattan beach, California with a herculean task of finishing four sequels on the trot with a whopping collective budget of at least $1 billion, making it the most expensive shoot of its kind.
Release Dates of four sequels in order:
Avatar 2 – December 18, 2020,
Avatar 3 – December 2021,
Avatar 4 – December 2024 and
Avatar 5 – December 2025.
As per reports, a first-of-it-kind technology is being used for these four films which will facilitate the audience experience 3D effects without wearing 3D glasses.
