Multi-talented Shruti Haasan does it again- tested her singing talent. Actress-singer Shruti lent her voice for her sister Akshara in a song in Akshara’s maiden film Shamitabh. Shruti crooned for the song titled “Sannata” and the makers are all set to launch the song soon.
The song is already available on Internet jukeboxes and making big noise. Composed by Ilaiyaraaja, “Sannata” is said to be very different from what Shruti has sung earlier. “It’s young, contemporary, edgy and quirky, much like Shruti’s own musical vibe.
It’s a different track compared to what one hears in mainstream music these days,” say reports. Adding to the maestro’s music, the lyrics of song feature names of various contemporary singers, lyricists actors and musicians.
Directed by R Balki, Shamitabh stars Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush in lead roles. Akshara Haasan will be romancing Dhanush. Already Shruti’s two other songs in her recent film Tevar (Okkadu remake) were chartbusters.
Both ‘Joganiyaan’ and ‘Madamiyan’ of Tevar topped the charts. ANd ‘Madamiyan’ seen Shruti shaking legs with Arjun Kapoor. So, Bollywood is abuzz about Shruti’s song for her younger sister.
