The first-ever Telangana Gaddar Film Awards, a grand celebration of Telugu cinema, music, and culture, took place in Hyderabad, with several top artists in attendance. Sid Sriram walked away with the award for Best Playback Singer for his heartfelt rendition of “Nijame Ne Chebutunna,” a powerful and emotional song that became a sensation following its 2024 release.

The track topped major charts, earned over 174 million YouTube views, and garnered hundreds of millions of streams across platforms, thanks to its moving melody and deep lyrics.

“I’m forever indebted to the fraternity and my Telugu fans for embracing me as one of their own,” Sid Sriram shared. “Receiving the Telangana Gaddar Film Award for Best Playback Singer means the world to me. I’ve been in the Telugu film industry for a decade now, and it’s been a beautiful journey.”

Named after the revolutionary poet and activist Gaddar, the Telangana Gaddar Film Awards aim to honor outstanding contributions to Telugu cinema. Sid’s win was one of the highlights of the star-studded evening, celebrating excellence across filmmaking, acting, and music.

Alongside this prestigious recognition, Sid Sriram also released two new singles this year through his venture The Hybridist, in collaboration with Warner Music India — Sivanar, a devotional track, and Kanne / En Kadhaa, a romantic bilingual number in Telugu and Tamil — both of which have been warmly embraced by his fans.
