After much delay, Anushka Shetty and director Krish Jagarlamudi’s film Ghaati finally locked its release date for July 11. However, with less than 10 days to go, the makers have remained unusually silent, sparking speculation that the film might be postponed once again.
Following the release date announcement, the team unveiled the first single, “Sailore.” Unfortunately, the song failed to create any buzz or boost the film’s anticipation among audiences. Since then, there has been complete radio silence — no trailer, no fresh updates, and no clarity on the pre-release event.
If the film is truly hitting screens on July 11, the makers are left with a very narrow window to launch full-fledged promotions. Given the time constraints, it seems unrealistic to expect a full promotional rollout in under 10 days, making another postponement highly likely. If so, the team may now be forced to look at a possible August release.
Ghaati is a crucial film for both Anushka and director Krish. It marks Anushka’s return to the big screen after a two-year gap — her last film being Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty in 2023. For Krish, this is his first directorial release since Kondapolam in 2021. After stepping away from Hari Hara Veera Mallu due to delays, Krish seems to be battling the same fate with Ghaati.
For now, all eyes are on the makers to break their silence and give a much-needed update on the film’s actual status.
