It is well known that former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has had a strained relationship with his sister YS Sharmila and mother Y.S. Vijayamma in recent years. The differences within the family became public when Jagan reportedly filed a petition before the Tribunal seeking to reclaim shares he had previously allocated to his mother, prompting a counterclaim from Vijayamma. The issue has since escalated into a legal dispute.
On the occasion of YSR Jayanti, both Jagan and Vijayamma visited the YSR Ghat to pay tribute to the late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. When they came face-to-face at the memorial, the two shared a brief embrace and were seen smiling momentarily in front of the cameras.
However, the interaction ended there—despite standing just feet apart, they did not exchange a single word. This quiet moment between mother and son, once known for their strong bond, did not go unnoticed by the public.
Many netizens and political observers believe the silence between them is a reflection of the deepening rift within the family. While the symbolic gesture of respect at the memorial was appreciated, the visible distance between Jagan and Vijayamma continues to spark speculation about the ongoing tensions in the YSR family.
