‘Since I Stopped Asking, My Films Are Flopping’

Why would a young hero who started his career with a bang simply end up the last of the race? When the likes of Sharwanand, Nani, Raj Tarun and Sai Dharam Tej are just racing ahead, their contemporary Sandeep Kishan is scoring less these days. Wonder why?

There is a buzz from a long time that Sandeep involves tad bit heavily into the direction and script of a film and that’s why his movies are flopping. Few of films have interesting first half and a poor second half, for which industry people say that latter is taken care by the hero, resulting in a poor outcome. What has the youngster to say about these films?

“I don’t involve in script or direction. I just ask questions and express my opinions. I will never involve in the shot division or make style. But when a scene told to me gets changed after the script comes to set, why should I stop myself asking about it?” avers Sandeep Kishan, giving a clarity.

In contrast, he stated that his lack of involvement these days is slowing down his career. “From Nakshatram to many other films, I know they are flops the day I saw the trailer or first copy in the editing room. From last three years, I stopped asking directors any questions. Since then, my films are flopping too. What should I do now?” he shots back.

For now, he has pinned hopes on the movie C/o Surya, which is carved by talented Suseenthran.
