Badminton sensation P V Sndhu has suddenly become a superstar with the winning of silver medal at Olympics. She is being showered with gifts and cash rewards from various governments, firms, agencies and individuals and suddenly, her worth has gone up to over Rs 25 crore.
Before the Olympics, Sindhu had signed a few endorsements, but her brand value was very less. Though she is good looking and good personality, companies have not evinced much interest in signing for their products because she did not have much success earlier.
After the last year’s bronze medal at the world badminton championship, her value had gone up to Rs 20 lakh maximum. Now that she has won silver medal at the Olympics, her brand value suddenly shot up to Rs 2 crore and companies are making a beeline to her to sign for their products.
“She is not in hurry. She will be very choosy in signing the agreements. It will be disclosed in a couple of days,” said Sindhu’s brand consultant Baseline Ventures.
