Tollywood King Akkineni Nagarjuna is gearing up for a historic milestone in his career — his 100th film, currently being referred to as #King100. The much-awaited project, which went into script work earlier this year, is now set for a grand launch.

While fans eagerly anticipated an official announcement on Nagarjuna’s birthday (August 29), the star chose to hold back as his film Coolie — where he stunned audiences in a villainous role — was still running successfully in theaters. He was also busy with the launch of Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9.

Now, Nagarjuna is all set to unveil #King100 later this month. The prestigious project will be produced under his home banner Annapurna Studios and directed by Tamil filmmaker Ra Karthik. Though Karthik’s debut Tamil film met with only average success, Nagarjuna was reportedly impressed by his unique storytelling style and the powerful script he narrated.

Adding to the excitement, it is strongly buzzed that Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni will appear in special cameo roles, making this milestone film even more memorable for Akkineni fans.
