Ranveer Singh & Aditya Dhar Eye ₹500 Cr Paydays

Who are the highest-paid actor and director in Indian cinema right now? According to industry buzz, the spotlight is on Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar, thanks to the success of the Dhurandhar franchise.
Trade estimates suggest that the two-part project was made on a controlled budget of around ₹260 crore. However, the returns appear to be on a completely different scale.
Dhurandhar Part 1 is reportedly said to have grossed over ₹1400 crore worldwide, with a share of around ₹700 crore. The sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, is expected to perform even bigger, with projections touching ₹2500 crore and a share close to ₹1500 crore.
Adding to this, non-theatrical rights for both parts are estimated at around ₹600 crore combined. Based on these rough calculations, total profits from the franchise could exceed ₹2500 crore after accounting for production costs.
Industry insiders suggest that Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar each hold a 20% stake in the franchise, while JioCinema owns the remaining 60%. If these numbers hold true, both the actor and director could earn upwards of ₹500 crore each from the project.
While these figures are still based on trade speculation, they highlight the massive scale and profitability that big-ticket Indian franchises are now capable of achieving.
