The 77-year-old Rampur (UP) MP, Nepal Singh from BJP, made some humiliating and sickening comments about the Indian soldiers. Speaking about the Pulwama encounter The MP went on to say, ‘It is common for an army soldier to lose his life protecting his country. There is nothing new in that. They are bound to lose their lives anyways in a war. Do we have any armor that can save lives?’.
After his own party leaders criticized him for making such sickening comments, the MP conveyed his apologies claiming that he has been misquoted. He said, I only requested the scientist to come up with a new armor that can save the lives of the soldiers.
A common man is indebted to the Indian army, given its role in protecting the nation. But it doesn’t seem that way to the politicians, who are largely known for amassing wealth and committing felonies during their political career.
