Bollywood star Sonakshi Sinha is all set to make her Telugu debut with the upcoming mythological mystical thriller Jatadhara, starring Sudheer Babu in the lead role. The film, directed by Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal, is gearing up for a grand pan-India release on November 7.
In a recent interview, Sonakshi opened up about her challenging experience working on the film, revealing that she had to wear nearly 50 kilograms of jewellery during the shoot. She described her role as one of the most physically demanding performances of her career.
“It used to take me almost three hours every day to get ready for the shoot,” she shared. “I had to wear a saree, a harness underneath, and then 50 kg of jewellery, which was stitched onto me so that it wouldn’t move during action scenes. It was heavy and painful, especially when I had to stay suspended in the air for long hours.”
Despite the physical strain, Sonakshi said the warmth and hospitality of the Telugu crew made the experience memorable. “Not even for a single day did I feel like an outsider. Everyone on the sets made me feel comfortable and welcomed,” she added.
With Sonakshi playing the antagonist, Jatadhara promises to offer a fresh cinematic experience blending mythology, mysticism, and intense drama. The film’s stunning visuals and unique concept are expected to make it one of the most talked-about releases this Friday.
