Mumbai: Fresh out of the success of her hit romantic flick ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, Sonam Kapoor was photographed at the holy city of Varanasi. The actress along with her mother and a few close friends, flew to the city to celebrate Dev Diwali. This festival is celebrated 15-days after Diwali. Every year, thousands of devotees gather on the banks of the river Ganga, to offer prayers and also light earthen lamps in honour of the river.
The star, who was praised for her portrayal of a princess in the Salman Khan starrer, created quite a fan frenzy in the city, that she along with her girl gang had to be escorted by security guards. Sonam will be seen next in the upcoming biopic ‘Neerja’. In the film, the actress will play a 23-year-old airhostess, who gave up her life trying to save the lives of 379 hijacked passengers on PanAm flight in Karachi in 1986.
