Pallam Raju, the Kakinada MP is one politician who has been having a very clean record both in terms of his position as a minister and also for his respectful personality and public behavior. For the last nine years, he served as MoS for Defense and is now the Union HRD minister.
His problems started after Telangana announcement by Congress high command and sources say that Raju took a principled stand by believing in Antony Committee and when they were fooled by leadership by passing Cabinet note, he met PM and offered his resignation.
Sources say he was then very much convinced by Sonia on a condition that he will be made a part of the Group of Ministers that will decide AP’s bifurcation bill. Suddenly, yesterday a list was announced with 7 ministers and there was no mention of Pallam Raju in the list. Many say Sonia seems to have cleverly made him a buffoon. We have to see how Pallam is going to react to this.
