Popular Tollywood comedian Fish Venkat, widely recognized for his comic timing and memorable supporting roles, has sadly passed away after battling a critical kidney-related illness. Despite the family’s tireless efforts and spending heavily on medical treatment, his condition deteriorated, leading to his untimely demise.
In a heartfelt gesture, actor and humanitarian Sonu Sood stepped forward to support the bereaved family, offering ₹1.5 lakh in financial assistance. He also released a note assuring that he would continue to stand by them in the future. His timely help has been met with widespread appreciation.
Fish Venkat’s last on-screen appearance was in Coffee with a Killer. Earlier, actor Vishwak Sen had extended his support, and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also arranged financial help during Venkat’s final days. The family had been seeking ₹50 lakh for a crucial kidney transplant, but sadly, it couldn’t be arranged in time.
The late actor’s family expressed disappointment over the lack of broader support from the film industry, acknowledging only a few voices — notably the Gabbar Singh team — for stepping up when it mattered.
Sonu Sood’s compassionate act has brought some relief to the grieving family during this difficult time, serving as a reminder of the importance of solidarity in the entertainment fraternity.
