Young and talented hero Nikhil Siddharth is arriving with back-to-back interesting projects. He scored a pan-Indian hit in the form of ‘Karthikeya 2’ and he is planning to continue the successful run at the box office with ‘SPY’. Directed by Garry BH, the shooting is currently going on in full swing. This is the costliest film of Nikhil till date. The small video revealing the film’s backdrop generated a lot of hype and the makers decided to raise it further with a teaser.
It begins with Makrand Deshpande explaining to his team about Bhagwan Ji Files. He is talking about India’s best-kept secret, creator of Azad Hind Fauj, visionary, and one and only Subhash Chandrabose. He calls the revolutionary’s death as a cover-up story. Nikhil plays the role of a guy who is going to solve this mystery. What follows is some adrenaline-pumping action and visual extravaganza. The teaser creates curiosity and sets huge expectations for the movie.
Nikhil packs a punch as the spy and Iswarya Menon makes her mark as the heroine too. Sanya Thakur is the second lead. Garry BH makes a great impression on his directorial debut, in terms of the narrative. Nikhil said, “We came all the way to Delhi to launch the teaser. Karthavya Path is a sacred and scarifying place. The movie deals with a point related to Netaji Subhash Chandrabose that you never heard of. That’s why we are particular about releasing the first teaser at the Statue of Netaji. We’re honored and very happy that we got the opportunity to release the teaser here in his presence. In recent times, our Telugu cinema is going global. It’s another attempt. We came up with a new point. You will be shocked to know the core point. India got freedom with the great sacrifice done by our soldiers. We’re making a film about Netaji’s life. It’s an out-and-out action film. Netaji and Azad Hind Fauj are the biggest reasons for India getting freedom.”
‘SPY’ will be hitting the screens on 29th June. Aryan Rajesh in his comeback is playing a special role. Iswarya Menon is the leading lady opposite Nikhil and Sanya Thakur will be seen as the second lead in the movie playing a powerful role. ‘SPY’ is bankrolled by K Raja Sekhar Reddy pf Ed Entertainments along with Charan Tej Uppalapati as CEO. Bollywood famous cinematographer Keiko Nakahara who was part of critically acclaimed films like Mary Kom, Shakunthala Devi, Tanhaji is working on this movie along with Hollywood DOP Julian Amaru Estrada.
Anirudh Krishnamurthy is the writer. Sricharan Pakala is the music composer while Julia Amaru Estrada is the director of photography. Ravi Anthony is the production designer while Arjun Surisetty is the art director. This action spy thriller will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages.
