It came as a huge shock to fans and general movie goers, and embarrassment to the SPYder makers when the highly anticipated trailer leaked online a day of its scheduled release on Sep 15, today. Generally, content of films gets leaked from the editing room and CG offices. Were one of these the culprits in the case of Spyder too?
As the leaked copy of SPYder trailer is being telecast in TV channels and on social media, we observed that it had a watermark, ‘For Madhu Sir’. It is known that Tagore Madhu is one of the producers of Spyder.
It must be noted that on the promos of any film, there will be distinct watermarks to indicate whether its producer’s copy, editing team’s, CG team’s, director’s, or the one sent to the Censor Board etc. Now, from the watermark on the leaked trailer of Spyder, it can be assumed that the copy sent to producer Tagore Madhu got leaked somehow. This has reportedly upset director AR Murugadoss, and he has every reason to get upset.
The pre-release event of Spyder will take place this evening in Hyderabad. Murugadoss and his team had planned a special and amusing manner to make Mahesh Babu unveil the highly awaited trailer at the big venue. All their plans turned futile as they were forced to release the trailer last night in the aftermath of leak.
The trailer which was expected to take movie lovers on social media by storm, had to be released without many noticing it until this morning. The trailer was expected to be the biggest drawing factor for the film’s promotions but the leak has killed that chance.
It needs to be seen what the Spyder team does at the pre-release event this evening to compensate for the already unveiled trailer.
