It is a well-known fact that the heart-wrenching sagas of casting couch in Telugu Film Industry have become an exotic topic of discussion since the past few days on social media. Thanks to some click bait YouTube videos that made the topic viral.
A Film By Aravind 2 fame Sri Reddy (formerly Srilekha) has made some serious allegations on casting couch in the industry and also shared many unsavoury experiences that she had faced as a Telugu girl. Now, another Tollywood heroine joined the chorus, raising her voice against this issue.
She is none other than Madhavi Latha. The actress made her debut into Tollywood with Nachavule and acted in few more Telugu films. In a recent TV show, Madhavi revealed that she was asked by many producers and directors to sleep with them for opportunities and also stated that she doesn’t want to reveal the names because it will create a rift in their personal as well as professional life. She felt that such revelations also affect the lives of craftsmen working with him.
Madhavi Latha alleges that Telugu directors and actors always show interest in Mumbai heroines than Telugu girls. She also stated that many newbies have to go through the mental and physical torture for opportunities in Telugu. Earlier we have seen some other beauties making similar comments in a lighter tone.
On the flip side, film industry says, Telugu girls are not well groomed to become star heroines while Mumbai and Chennai counterparts are better in that sense.
