Yesteryear onscreen diva Sridevi made her comeback to Kollywood with a straight Tamil film after nearly 3 decades. Her latest Tamil film, Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Puli, released recently and bit the dust miserably. While millions of her fans down south were thrilled with her comeback, Sridevi too expressed her joy over her comeback in south.
However, looks like Sridevi’s happiness is short-lived. After the film’s disastrous result at the box-office, Sridevi is also perturbed with the film’s producers not paying her balance remuneration of 50 lakhs. It was rumored that Sridevi was paid a whopping 5 crore for her comeback stint. Out of this, the producers seemed to have failed to pay 50 lakhs.
After several requests, Sridevi failed to get a proper surety about her payment and this led to her filing a complaint against Puli producers PT Selvakumar and Shibu Thameens in the Mumbai producer’s council. The producer’s council further referred Sridevi’s complaint to the Tamil producer’s council, which will now carry out the proceedings.
