Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu which released worldwide this morning had got unanimous positive talk from all quarters. Going by the initial estimates, the movie is likely to smash all the non-Baahubali records on the day-1 and is likely to end up in Top-4 in its full run. The movie had received an unexpected boon from KCR’s government.
The state government had announced a general holiday to all government institutions, schools, colleges on Monday due to Bonalu festival. This will enable that the movie will have an extended weekend in Nizam and need less to say, the movie will make a merry at the box office as a result. This is certainly a gift from KCR.
The movie had an open ground at the box office. There are no significant releases except for Baahubali which is in to its fifth week run. The next weekend is also going to be vacant and so Srimanthudu will be minting more money. It has to be seen if the movie manages to cross Attarintiki Daredi which is the second biggest grosser of all time after Baahubali.
