Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who owns two T20 teams, has now acquired another, making it his third.
Kolkata Knight Riders, a franchisee of the Indian Premiere League (IPL) and Trinbago Knight Riders, a franchisee of Caribbean Premiere League of West Indies are the two teams co-owned by SRK. Now, he has become the owner of Cape Town Knight Riders, a franchisee of T20 Global League, which was recently started in South Africa.
After acquiring his third T20 team, SRK said that he intends to expand the brand of ‘Knight Riders’ to every part of the world where the sport of Cricket is adored. He has so far ticked T20 Leagues in India, West Indies and South Africa.
The recently launched T20 Global League of South Africa will feature eight teams, and will be played in November-December.
On film front, SRK will be next seen in ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, which is slated for worldwide release on August 4. Anushka Sharma is the leading lady.
