While several film stars have started playing cricket in celebrity leagues of late, star cricketers like Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Ajay Jadeja and Vinod Kambli turned actors in mainstream Bollywood films. Here’s the latest Indian star cricketer who is all set for his acting debut.
Ravichandran Ashwin, Team India’s trump card bowler and all-rounder from Chennai, will soon be seen on the silver screen in the sequel to the super hit Tamil film Chennai 600028.
The film will be helmed by director Venkat Prabhu and Ashwin along with another cricketer Murali Vijay will make special appearances in the film.
