The much-anticipated Kannappa, a pan-India project starring and produced by Dynamic Star Vishnu Manchu, continues to make headlines every day with new updates. With a star-studded cast that includes Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Akshay Kumar, the film has already generated massive buzz. In particular, Prabhas’ role has added not just artistic value but also tremendous commercial strength to the film.

Recently, Vishnu Manchu’s revelations in an interview have become the talk of the town—especially regarding Prabhas’ remuneration. Many were curious about how much Prabhas was paid for his special cameo, which is said to be around 30 minutes long. Surprisingly, Vishnu revealed that Prabhas did not charge a single rupee for his role. The fact that a superstar of Prabhas’ stature worked for free has become a hot topic on social media, with fans praising his humility.

Vishnu also shared an amusing incident. He said that despite repeatedly insisting on paying Prabhas, the latter casually brushed it off every time. It reached a point where veteran actor Mohan Babu had to intervene. When Mohan Babu brought up the topic of payment with Prabhas, the actor jokingly responded, “If you mention money again, tell Vishnu I’ll kill him!”—showing the close bond they share.

Interestingly, Mohanlal also didn’t charge any remuneration for his role. He reportedly told Vishnu not to involve any manager and to discuss everything directly with him. When the topic of payment came up, Mohanlal affectionately responded, “Have you become so big that you’re asking me for money?”—leaving Vishnu both emotional and speechless.

As for Akshay Kumar, he did take remuneration for his role, but Vishnu clarified that it was significantly less than his usual fee. Even so, Akshay believed in the project and came on board with genuine interest and trust.

Seeing such top-tier stars come together for the love of storytelling, and not just for money, has inspired admiration across the Indian film industry. The support these legends have shown to Vishnu is being seen as a proud moment for Indian cinema.

Currently in the post-production phase, Kannappa is all set to release on June 28. Vishnu Manchu, treating this as his dream project, is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the film turns out to be a grand success. It remains to be seen just how far Kannappa will go at the box office—but expectations are already sky-high.
