Kona Venkat took Shankarabaranam. Someone else made Sitara. Varun Sandesh used Lava Kusa. Allari Naresh has turned Bandipotu. Then, what was the result? Disaster is a small word with the kind of craze those titles enjoy in Telugu world. And our makers are not yet changing. When Allari Naresh took titles like Bandipotu and Yamudiki Mogudu, many wondered if he would break his flop streak and deliver a hit.
The Sudigaadu star however stunned audiences with yet another disastrous show. Even Varun Sandesh spoiled Lava Kusa in the same way with his crappy story of twins, while the classic is a story of Lord Rama’s sons.
Kona Venkat is no exception as he spoiled Mani Ratnam’s love tale Geethanjali with a horror content and then rusted K Viswanath’s awesome creation Shankarabaranam with his crap comedy.
Not stopping here, both Kona and RGV are now getting ready to grab the title Pathala Bhairavi, to make films of their choice under that title. Why spoiling classics in that way? Rather taking those titles and stuffing them with silly content, get some intriguing content on board with a fresh title.
