It has been ages since macho hero Gopichand scored a hit at box office. Same is the case with director Santosh Srinivas. These success-hungry duo have now teamed up for a new film.
Gopichand hasn’t scored a hit after ‘Loukyam’ (2014). Santosh on the other hand, made a promising debut with “Kandireega”, but faltered big time with his only two other subsequent directorials – NTR’s “Rabhasa” and Ram’s “Hyper”. Reports circulated sometime ago that he would direct Pawan Kalyan but the project never materialized.
Santosh Srinvas has now impressed Gopichand with the subject for a powerful action entertainer and got his nod. Senior producer BVSN Prasad will bankroll Gopichand-Santosh Srinivas project which will be launched on March 18. The pre-production work is currently underway. The film is crucial for both of them.
Meanwhile, Gopichand is currently busy shooting for ‘Pantham’. Starring Mehreen as female lead, the action entertainer will release worldwide in May.
