Nani’s latest film, HIT 3, has made a remarkable debut at the global box office, reportedly grossing around ₹43 crore on its opening day. This achievement sets a new personal record for Nani, surpassing his previous best with Dasara, which had grossed approximately ₹38 crore on its opening day. However, when examining the theatrical share, a different picture emerges.
While HIT 3 leads in gross revenue, Dasara maintains an edge in terms of theatrical share, particularly in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions. For non-superstar films in these states, the projected Day 1 shares are as follows:
Dasara: ₹14.11 crore
HIT 3: ₹13.01 crore
Kushi: ₹9.74 crore
These figures suggest that Dasara has a higher share of the box office revenue, which could be attributed to the film’s revenue-sharing agreements and fixed hires. Notably, HIT 3 has outperformed Dasara in terms of gross revenue, indicating a strong performance at the box office.
Looking ahead, there’s speculation that Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film, Kingdom, may surpass both HIT 3 and Dasara in terms of box office performance, further intensifying the competition in the industry.
